Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud were two of the most influential psychoanalysts of the twentieth century, and while they agreed on many aspects of psychology, they had some fundamental disagreements on the development of personality. While Freud believed that personality was primarily shaped by unconscious drives and conflicts, Jung disagreed and argued that personality was a result of both conscious and unconscious forces.
