THANKFULNESS – A VIRTUE: On the need to be Thankful Always
One day a construction supervisor from the 6th floor a building was calling a worker working on the ground floor. The worker did not hear his supervisor calling because of the construction noise.

Then to draw the attention of the worker, the supervisor threw 1000 Naira note from the top which fell in front of the worker. The worker picked up the money, put it in his pocked and continued with his work. Again to draw the attention of the worker, the supervisor threw a bunch of 500 Naira notes. The worker did the same, picked the money, put it in his pocket and continued with his job. Lastly the supervisor picked a small stone and threw it at the worker. The stone went directly and hit the worker on the head. This time the worker looked up angrily only to see his supervisor who succeeded communicating with him.

 

LESSONS

This story brought to mind various situation in our lives. Very often God gives us gifts. Sometimes small, and at times big, expecting us to look up and say thank you. But then we just pick them without caring where they came from. But as soon as we are hit with small stones, as in problems. We look up immediately and complain to God. How often do we turn to God immediately to thank him each time we receive gifts from him? THANKFULNESS – A VIRTUE we all need to have
