The Praying Hands

Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighborhood.
Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the Elder’s children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy.

The Beauty and Mystery of Love from a wise Elder

It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return but what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person we will know how to be grateful for the gift.
Love is when you take away the feeling of the romance in the relationship but you still care for that person.
A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.

When the door of happiness closes another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can just be with, never say a word and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.

It is true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it but it is also true that we don’t know what we have been missing until it arrives.
Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they love you back. Don’t expect love in return, just wait for it to grow in their heart but, if it doesn’t, be content it grew in yours.
There are things you’d love to hear that you would never hear from the person whom you would like to hear them from but don’t be so deaf as not to hear it from the one who says it from their heart.

Never say good bye if you still want to try. Never give up if you still feel you can go on. Never say you don’t love a person anymore if you can’t let go.
Love comes to those who still hope, although they have been disappointed. To those who still believe, although they have been betrayed.

To those who still need to love, although they have been hurt before and to those that have the courage and faith to build trust again.
It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don’t go for looks, they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.

HAPPINESS IS FACTORY FITTED

Some of the most profound lessons I had learnt in life came from my interactions with children and the probing questions they asked. That was the case on this Sunday. I was approached after Mass by a little girl. What I recall about her was that she was smart, bold, confident and precocious. She said to me, ‘Please Fr. I need you to do me a favour. I need you to pray for my parents to become as rich as our neighbour, so that my daddy too can be happy. I love daddy but he is not always happy’. Need I say I was shocked? Just as I was about to engage her in a

If You Want More Love in the World, Create More Love in Your Heart!

a-father-and-son-walking

If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This applies to all everything in all aspect of life.
A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!! To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating somewhere in the mountain: AAAhhhhhhhhhhh. Leaders! If you don’t take care of yourself, nobody will; The story of the busy cobbler.

https://www.brainyquote.com/authors/jim-rohn-quotes

Leaders! If you don’t take care of yourself, nobody will. There was a cobbler who lived in a village. Since he was the only cobbler in the town, everyone went to meet him to get their footwears repaired. He was so busy that he didn’t even have time to repair his own boots. This wasn’t a problem at first, but over time, his boots began to wear off and fall apart.
While he worked feverishly on everyone else’s shoes, his feet got blister and he started to limp. His customers started to worry about him, but he reassured them that everything is alright.

When a third-grader Explains the existence of God

When given a third-grade homework assignment to “EXPLAIN GOD,” this is what 8-year-old, Danny Dutton, of Chula Vista, CA, had to say.

One of God’s main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn’t make grown-ups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way He doesn’t have to take up His valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.

God’s second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times besides bedtime. God doesn’t have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this.
God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere, which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn’t go wasting His time by going over your Mom and Dad’s head asking for something they said you couldn’t have.

Draw Near to God, and He Will Draw Near to You

There was this young
boy called Jim. He always felt the need to pray. He decided that each day, he
would go to church three times for two minutes prayer. In the morning, he would
walked into the church, kneel down, and say, “Jesus, this is Jim”.

Then he
would leave the church. In the afternoon and evening, he would come back again,
and say his favourite prayer “Jesus this is Jim.” He continued doing this for
months but he was interrupted for by illness. His illness made him to be
admitted into the hospital. His parent would only visit him once in a week because of their financial statues. Hence he was left in the hands of the hospital care giver whose
availability was minimal.

However, each day
people come to the hospital ward in which he was admitted to visit other sick
patients, they always see Jim brim with happiness. Jim’s sick neighbor inquired
about the secret of his constant happiness. Jim replied, “When people come to
greet their love ones, someone always come to greet me and he always say, ‘Jim
this is Jesus’”

Messages
  • Draw near to God, and he will draw near
to you. James 4:8. God is always close to those who love him, especially in
    times of trouble.
  • Any amount of time spent with in
communion with Jesus is always enriching and rewarding.

Christian Buddha: Story to Tell Your Neighbours

Christian Buddha: Story to Tell Your Neighbours:
One of master Gasan’s monks visited the university in Tokyo. When he returned, he asked the master if he had ever read the Christian Bible.
“No,” Gasan replied, “Please read some of it to me.”

The monk opened the Bible to the Sermon on the Mount in St. Matthew, and began reading. After reading Christ’s words about the lilies in the field, he paused. Master Gasan was silent for a long time.

“Yes,” he finally said, “Whoever uttered these words is an enlightened being. What you have read to me is the essence of everything I have been trying to teach you here!”
