The Uniqueness of everybody: The story of the fighting colours.!
Once upon a time all the colours in the world started to quarrel with one another. Each colour claimed that it was the best, the most important, the most useful, the favourite. Green began to say: “certainly, I am the most important. I am the sign of the life and of hope. I was chosen for the grass, for the tress, for the leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look at the country side and you would see that I am the majority.”
Blue interrupted: “You only think of the earth but consider. the sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis of life and this is drawn up by the clouds from the sea. The sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without peace you would all be nothing but busybodies”
It was then the turn of yellow to intervene: “You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow. Every time you look at the sun flower you smile. Without me, there would be no
fun.” Then orange started to blow its own trumpet: “I am the colour of the health and strength. I carry almost of the vitamins. Think of the carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes. I fill the sky at sunrise and sunset.” Red could not keep quiet and started to speak: “I am the ruler of you all. You have life because you have blood, and blood is red in colour! I am the colour of danger and of bravery. I am willing to fight for a noble cause. I am the colour of love.”
Immediately purple shouted: “I am the colour of royalty and
power. Kings, emperors, cardinals have always chosen me for I am the sign of authority and wisdom. People obey me.” Finally, indigo said: “Think of me. I am the colour of silence. Without me you all become superficial.
I represent thought, reflection. All need me for balance, for prayer, for
peace.” In this manner all the colours. Each was convinced it was indispensable. Their quarreling became louder and louder. Suddenly rain came. There was thunder, lightning. Colours stopped fighting. They came together.
Rain spoke to them all: “You foolish colours. Why are you fighting among yourselves? Why do you try to domineer? Don’t you think that God made you all for a special purpose, unique and the same different? He loves you all. He wants you all. Join hands with one another. Stretch across the sky in great bow of colour, as a reminder that God loves you all and God wants you all, that you can live together in peace.”
God loves all men and women. Let us live in harmony and
peace. Let us love one another, appreciate one another, and live in unity.
INSIGHTS ON The Uniqueness of Everybody
The importance of complementarity of everybody is often overlooked, but it is an important concept in many aspects of life. Complementarity is the idea that people can work together to achieve a common goal, even if their individual skills and abilities are different. Each individual has something special to offer and when combined, it can lead to great things.
Take, for example, a business team. Each team member has something unique to contribute: one may be an excellent communicator, another may be a great strategist, and yet another may be a master problem solver. Without each individual’s contributions, the team wouldn’t be able to achieve success as easily.
Another example is in relationships. Each person in the relationship has different skills and personality traits that can really enhance the relationship when they are used in tandem. For instance, one partner may be more outgoing while the other partner is more introverted. When they come together, their collective strengths can make for a more successful relationship.
Complementarity of everybody also applies to our interactions with others in general. We all have something to offer, whether it’s knowledge, experience, or simply being a good listener. When we come together and combine our individual strengths, we can make a greater impact on the world around us.
Therefore, complementarity of everybody is a powerful concept that should not be overlooked. Each person has something unique and valuable to offer, and when combined with others, the results can be truly amazing.
