Read on and always remember you can grow without destroying others.

Always Operate with Mutual Respect and Benefit.

In a family setting, business, or organization, it is always important to operate with mutual respect and benefit in mind. This means that we should always be looking to help each other out and make sure that everyone is getting the best possible outcome from any situation.  When working together, you should always be aware of everyone’s strengths, weaknesses, and appropriate roles. You must also be aware of the expectations of others and work to meet those expectations. It is important to remember that we are all working towards the same goal. Therefore, win-win situations should be sought out. You must give others the same courtesy and respect you would expect to receive. Operating with mutual respect and benefit would make us always remember we can grow without destroying others.

Listening

Communication is key to any successful relationship. However, communication is not just about speaking. It is about listening as well. This may sound like a no-brainer, but it is a skill many seem to have trouble with. Simply put, you should always try to listen to others, either family members, a spouse, or your team members. You should be aware of your surroundings, and what others are saying about you. A good listener should be a person who wants to grow through feedback. That means he or she must take feedback and criticism.  Listening allows us to understand the other person and respond in a way that is respectful and helpful. Listening also allows us to build trust and rapport with the other person. Having a good listening skill in a group will make one always remember you can grow without destroying others.

Always keep promises you make.

This is a big one. Whatever you promise to your team members, you must always keep them. There is nothing more unprofessional than someone who breaks their promises. Your word is your bond. And if you say you will do something, you must do it unless it is extremely and humanly not possible anymore. In fact, unless you are psychopathic, breaking a promise is a bad idea. It damages trust, which is one of the most important factors in human relationships.  If someone is waiting for a response base on a promise made by you, try you best to fulfil the promise. If you promise to meet a certain deadline, you must meet that deadline. Trust is one of the most important aspects of any relationship. And you can’t maintain trust when you break promises. For friendship, business, or any kinds of relationship to work, the people on both sides must trust each other. And you can’t build trust if you don’t keep your promises. In the process of keeping your promise don’t destroy others. Most importantly, always remember you can grow without destroying others.

Have Empathy for Others.

Empathy is the ability to understand and feel what another person is experiencing from their perspective. It is a crucial skill if you wish to collaborate successfully with others. It is humane to always have empathy for others. Empathy makes one be in tune with how others are feeling and what they are going through. You should be aware of how your words and actions affect others. There are many reasons why someone may be acting or feeling a certain way. Be cognizant of those reasons and make an effort to understand why. This will allow you to be more thoughtful and enlightened in your actions. Empathy will allow you to build stronger relationships with those around you, either family, friends, or team members. Empathy is a human feeling that would make one always remember you can grow without destroying others.

You can grow without destroying others

You can still grow and succeed without destroying others in the process. There is no need to be rude or hurtful. You can still be ambitious and confident without putting others down. You can still be successful without putting down others. There is no need to be rude to your fellow co-workers. There is no need to be rude to your clients.
